Nou vra ek jou met absolute verbasing:

“He danced to drums ?”

No my dear; he beat the drums and the people (had to) danced..

Hé was the drummer

The lead intrumentalist

The one man band.

And if you did not dance to his tune…often out of rithym…always heartless…you were literally kicked out of his band.

He drummed

We danced to his tune

Or were replaced
